Compassionate Pediatric Therapy for Every Stage of Development and Lifelong Growth

Physical Therapy

Signs Your Child May Need Pediatric Physical Therapy?

Pediatric physical therapy is beneficial when children experience challenges with movement, coordination, or strength. Early intervention can help children achieve age-appropriate milestones and improve their participation in daily life, play, and school activities.

Children who may benefit include those with:
Difficulty crawling, walking, running, or jumping
Trouble with posture or gross motor milestones
Balance and coordination challenges
Limitations using mobility equipment at school or home
Developmental delays or neurological/orthopedic conditions
Weak muscle strength or endurance

What Is Pediatric Physical Therapy?
Pediatric physical therapy focuses on helping children improve gross motor skills, posture, strength, balance, and functional movements essential for daily life. Our therapists use evidence-based techniques delivered in a fun, playful, and motivating environment.
Each session is carefully designed to engage your child while working toward meaningful goals, such as climbing stairs, running, jumping, and navigating playground equipment safely. At Little Champs Therapy, we make therapy fun, purposeful, and results-driven.

Our Tools
An obstacle course is a path filled with a variety of physical challenges such as climbing, jumping, crawling, and balancing. It is designed to test a person’s strength, speed, coordination, and endurance. Obstacle courses are commonly used in sports training, military exercises, and fitness programs to improve overall physical ability. They can also be created for fun and entertainment in games or competitions. Completing an obstacle course requires both physical effort and mental focus, as participants must think quickly and overcome each challenge.

How Physical Therapy Helps

Improving Gross Motor Skills
Our therapists help children develop large movement skills like walking, running, climbing, and jumping through creative, age-appropriate activities.
Enhancing Balance &
Coordination
We use balance boards, obstacle courses, and guided practice to improve stability, fluidity of movement, and overall coordination.
Strength & Endurance Gains
Targeted exercises strengthen muscles, increase stamina, and support participation in school, home, and recreational activities.
Functional Mobility
Therapy is tailored to improve real-world movement, including stair navigation, playground skills, and independent mobility with or without assistive devices.
